Breaking: Tambuwal steps down presidential ambition for Atiku

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has stepped down his presidential ambition for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

He announced his stepping down at the ongoing PDP Presidential primary election at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Saturday night.

Shortly before voting began, Tambuwal mounted the stage to announce his withdrawal from the race.

He asked his supporters to vote for Atiku at the primary.

Tambuwal said there was the need for the PDP to rally round and support one another to move the nation forward.

There was loud ovation at the stadium as the governor stepped down his ambition, which represents a major boost for the aspiration of Atiku.
