Governor Badaru was cleared by the presidential screening committee of the ruling party today.
The governor can now fully participate in the June 6th-8th presidential primaries.
Speaking on the development, The governor’s media said Badaru was cleared after the committee verified his membership status, financial status, academic credentials, and other requirements for a presidential candidate as spelled out in the constitution.
He added that the screening and clearance put to bed speculations that Governor Badaru has stepped down for another presidential aspirant.
