2023 presidency: Gov. Badaru Abubakar passes APC’s test

The Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has been given the official nod by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest in the forthcoming presidential primary election of the party.

Governor Badaru was cleared by the presidential screening committee of the ruling party today.

The governor can now fully participate in the June 6th-8th presidential primaries.

Speaking on the development, The governor’s media said Badaru was cleared after the committee verified his membership status, financial status, academic credentials, and other requirements for a presidential candidate as spelled out in the constitution.

He added that the screening and clearance put to bed speculations that Governor Badaru has stepped down for another presidential aspirant.
