“This is indeed a testimony to all Nigerians that indeed the best democrats and lovers of one Nigeria are in the APC, no wonder Nigerians have been voting massively for candidates of the party and we are convince with this stance, the APC will again be voted for at all levels of elections come 2023 by Nigerians,” it said.

The group commended the Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Badaru, for withdrawing from the race immediately and enjoined all other northern aspirants to respect the President and the Northern Governors’ stance on fielding a southern candidate by stepping down their aspirations in order to ensure a rancour-free and peaceful convention.

While urging all Southern presidential aspirants to close rank, be united and ensure a rancour-free convention, the statement appealed to delegates to ensure the emergence of a strong, experience and formidable candidate, like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who commands a cult-like followership just like President Buhari across the country, that would guarantee victory for the APC and ensure the continuation of the infrastructural transformation.
