The youthful politician under the platform of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP), Wasiu Ajirotutu has clinched the Ogun East Senatorial ticket.

The politician will now challenge the former governor of the state, Gbenga Daniel, at the 2023 senatorial election.

Ajirotutu, who addressed the journalists after primary said he was motivated to run to mitigate the suffering and marginalization that the district had suffered for a long time.

He added that the dividends of democracy were meant for the betterment of the constituents and not for a few as had been the practice.

“I have been an entrepreneur who for a long time who had provided a means of gainful employment for our youths. My desire is to impact more youths and give them a source of livelihood”

He reiterated that he was going to transform his senatorial district from a consuming neighborhood to a productive one, adding that all youths would be economically viable if he was given the mandate.

“I am using this opportunity to express my gratitude to my people and also plead with other candidates, especially the one from APC, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, to allow the long-term effects of positive politics to come into practice by allowing a young and vibrant youth to take control of the game,” he said.
