The inauguration of the borehole was part of activities to celebrate his 40th birthday, with the theme “Shining The Light”, which was marked with extravagant praise and thanksgiving ministrations concert in Mushin.

The event, which was held at the Bishop Aggey Secondary School field, Mushin, Lagos, was organized by the wife of the celebrant, pastor Titi Adeboye.

Speaking with NAN, Adeboye said it was a nostalgic experience for him having grown up in Mushin.

“I was born and raised here a while before my family relocated to Ogun State.

“Mushin is where I and my brother Dare started life before he departed this world. May his humble soul rest in peace, Amen.

“Also this is the place where the Mission RCCG General Overseer, my father, lived while he was based in Lagos. So I considered it necessary to come back home to impact my people; you must not forget your source.’’

Giving insights into his motive for giving the community a borehole, Adeboye emphasized the importance of water and explained that clean water is indispensable to everyone.

“Making it easily accessible to the people is necessary for healthy living and for tackling health challenges such as cholera, and COVID-19.
