2023 Presidency: Lagos PDP confident of Atiku-Okowa win

The Lagos State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has applauded the choice of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as the party’s vice-presidential candidate.

Okowa was on Thursday unveiled by the PDP national leadership as the running mate to former Vice-President Abubakar for the 2023 general elections.

Speaking on Okowa’s emergence, Mr. Philips Aivoji, Chairman, Lagos PDP, said that the party was sure to triumph with the Atiku Abubakar/Ifeanyi Okowa ticket.

“We have got a good vice presidential candidate and he is a man of integrity and honour. He is a trusted and tested party leader as a former senator and two-term governor.

“We can see his resume and none can match it. We are on top of the game and we are sure of winning with the Atiku/Okowa ticket. It is a good development, “Aivoji said.

He said that Okowa’s choice would boost PDP’s electoral strength in the South-South and South-East in the 2023 general elections.

“By God’s grace, we are going to triumph, not by our power or might.

“Some people trust in a chariot, some trust in horses, but we trust in the Name of the Lord. We will triumph,” Aivoji added.
