Mbaka begs Peter Obi for forgiveness for calling him a stingy man

The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr Ejike Mbaka, on Friday begged the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Peter Obi for forgiveness.

Mbaka has been under fire from Obi’s supporters since he called him a stingy man who would not be president in Nigeria.

The cleric, in a statement said he never intended to malign Obi, but to pray for him.

He said the supporters of Obi felt offended by his statement, but said he was misunderstood by them.

“I ask for their understanding and forgiveness,” he said.

Mbaka added that Obi was his friend and would remain his friend and brother, saying he loved him and wished him success.

He prayed God to bless him and his good supporters and that God’s will would be done in his political endeavour.

Mbaka stated that he is a servant of God and not in any political party, but that he supported good people and good governance.

He said any good person that God could give the nation was his choice candidate.

“For the sake of peace, I ask for forgiveness in any way I am misunderstood. What the youths are passing through and their conditions give me sleepless nights.

“It is for this reason that I yearn for good governance and worthy leaders that will take care of them,” he stated.

Mbaka prayed God to bless Obi and manifest his will in his life.

According to him, “when God says yes, who can say no? And when he says no, who can say yes? I bless Peter Obi and pray for him.”
