As at 10pm on Saturday, only results from seven polling units out of 2445 have not been submitted.

The uploading of election results on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) results viewing portal for the governorship election in Ekiti has almost been completed.

As at 10.30pm on Saturday, only results from four polling units out of 2445 have not been submitted.

Of the 16 local councils, Ekiti West was awaiting the four polling units to complete all its results.

The uploading of election results at https://www.inecelectionresults.ng/started immediately after the close of voting and sorting of votes in some polling units across the state.

The breakdown of the uploaded results, according to local governments, showed that Ekiti East received results from 112 polling units, and Ekiti West from 188.

Ijero got from 145 polling units, Ikere 125, Ado Ekiti, the capital got from 344 units.

Ilejemeje received results from 91 polling units, the lowest number in the state, followed by Emure LGA, which comprised 94 polling units.

Ise-Orun got results from 114 polling units, Irepodun/Ifelodun got from 174 units, Ikole 179 units, Moba 116 and Oye 191.

Ekiti West has 184 polling units, Ido-Osi 144, Efon 119 and Gbonyin 115.

Collation at local council level has already begun. And thereafter the results will be collated at the state collation centre, where the winner will be announced early on Sunday.
