The governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Segun Oni, on Saturday alleged vote-buying in some polling units in Ado-Ekiti and Oye-Ekiti.

He called on security agencies to curb the malpractice.

Oni, who spoke with newsmen after casting his vote debunked claimed that he had withdrawn from the race and that he asked his supporters to vote for the PDP.

He also decried propaganda being peddled around that he met the APC Presidential aspirants in Akure to step down from the race.

“They said I met Asiwaju at a location in Akure, they did a photoshop of me and him as if we took photographs together.

I haven’t seen Asiwaju face to face for at least one or two years. So they will say anything, they will do anything, the truth is we are under heat.

“I am confident of winning. They will try all forms of rigging but everybody knows who will win,” he said.
