According to a family source, the kidnappers are demanding fifty million naira each for each of the victims.

Kidnappers who abducted ex-secretary of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Sani Toro, have demanded the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira as ransom.

The former secretary-general was taken by force on Saturday night on Abuja-Jos road, along with a former Golden Eaglets assistant coach, Garba Iliya.

A family source, who chose to remain anonymous, said the kidnappers have demanded N150m as ransom.

“Yes, it is true that he (Isa Toro) was driving with two of his friends when they were kidnapped yesterday (Saturday).

The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of N50m for each of them”, the source said, adding that the abductors spoke to their host, Maigari.

The spokesperson of the Bauchi Police Command, Ahmed Wakili, confirmed the incident.

He said: “The news is true. I got across one of his sons, who told me that he was kidnapped around Akwanga road in Nasarawa while returning from Abuja.”
