SOS: Six-month-old baby with hole in his heart needs N5.4m to survive

This picture above is that of a 6-month old baby, Timothy Olaoluwa who is diagnosed with a hole in his heart and will need surgery procedure to correct the heart defect.

Timothy Olaoluwa is currently being managed by the cardiology department in Massey Street children’s hospital, Lagos Island.

The parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Awoyemi Olaoluwa are reaching out to the general public to offer an urgent financial support of N5.4 million for the surgery procedure to save their son’s life.

The surgery is expected to take place at a specialist hospital, Tristate hospital, Lekki, Lagos with an estimated bill of N7,435,000.

According to Tristate Hospital, the estimated cost includes: preoperative evaluation, N175,000, Catheterization, N700,000; Ventricular Septal Defect Repair, N6,500.000 and Covid test for the patient and (1) relative, N60,000.

Mr. Awoyemi said that he has been able to raise N2 million. He appealed to well-meaning Nigerians, including state and non-state actors to save his son’s life.
