The Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Dr. Peter Obi has said he is offering himself to be president of Nigeria to save the country from death.

He said Nigeria had consistently hired vehicle drivers instead of hiring qualified pilots to pilot its affairs.

Obi spoke in an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday.

He said his commitment was to let his campaign dwell on challenges in the country, as there were lots of problems besieging this country.

According to Obi, Nigeria would soon default on its debt servicing, saying this was what should be preoccupying the leaders now.

He added that this election would not be based on ‘my turn’, ethnicity, and religion, but based on a Nigerian agenda to save this Nigeria.

“Nigeria is in a coma, and it needs a specialist, and that is why I’m offering to save its life or it will die. I’m appealing to people to vote to save Nigeria, and to save Nigeria is to hire the best,” he said.

Obi stated that Nigeria is in a coma and needed an expert to save it, appealing to Nigerians to vote for him as the best man for the job and not because of primitive consideration.
