Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje on Friday said the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has settled for a Muslim running mate.
The governor spoke while addressing clerics numbering about 100 at the State House, Kano, an event to mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Ganduje said The party had advised Tinubu to run on a Muslim-Muslim ticket, saying this has become a reality.
“We have advised him to pick a Muslim deputy and he has agreed. A Muslim-Muslim ticket is a reality. It is not something new in Nigeria,” Channels TV quoted the governor as saying.
He urged the clerics to pray fervently for Tinubu to emerge victorious in next year’s presidential election.
Ganduje also charged them to pray for Tinubu to have a glorious reign as president next year.
