Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has said APC governors cannot snatch Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State away from the PDP.
Three governors of the APC recently visited Wike in Port Harcourt and they held a closed-door meeting.
The governors are: Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
Reacting to the governors’ meeting with Wike, Saraki said on Saturday that the exercise was a nullity as Wike would remain in PDP.
He said Wike is an important member of the PDP and that he was very confident that in no distant time the party would sit down with him and address all the issues.
Saraki added that there was no doubt that he had cause to feel the way he did, but that there were better ways by which an issue like this was resolved.
According to him, the good thing was that “we are all talking to one another. We are on top of the situation and PDP will reunite and forge ahead to win the next elections.”
