The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Dr. Peter Obi clocks 61 years on Tuesday, as his supporters wished him well in his aspiration.

Obi is aspiring to become Nigeria’s president in 2023 under a little known Labour Party without a structure.

He was born on July 19, 1961 in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Obi was a two-term governor of Anambra State 2006 and 2014.

On 24 March 2022, Obi declared his intention to run for the position of President of Nigeria under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, but later pulled out and announced he would be running under the Labour Party platform instead.

Younger generations under 30 proved to be some of the biggest Obi’s supporters, showing their support via social media and protests and street marches.

His supporters are already hailing him as he clocked 61 years, with some likening him to Nelson Mandela of South Africa.
