Fani-Kayode speaks on purported defection from APC

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has denied reports that he has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said such reports were never true and that he is still very much in APC.

Fani-Kayode stated that any announcement that did not emanate from him directly or on his verified social media pages concerning his political affiliation were fake.

He tweeted: “Reports that I have left @OfficialAPCNg are not true.

The former minister had in September 2021 dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC after he met President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fani-Kayode had pitched tent with the Governor of Kogi State, Yahahya Bello. He was always defending him and campaigning for his presidential aspiration until he lost the APC Presidential ticket to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He had also recently defended the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC, saying there was nothing wrong with it.
