Amusan and Brume celebrating their feat

The presidential candidates of APC, PDP and Labour Party have hailed the exploit of Tobi Amusan and Ese Brume at the World Athletics Championship in Oregon, United States.
Amusan had shattered the World Record in the 100m hurdles clocking 12:12 seconds in the semi-finals and ran 12.06 seconds in the final to claim the gold medal.
She was the first Nigerian to have done so and she did it in style. However, her 12,06 seconds will not count but she still broke the World Record with her 12.12 seconds.
Also, Ese Brume leapt 7.02m to win Silver and Nigeria’s second medal on the last day of the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
“Congratulations to Tobi Amusan, Nigerian World Champion, Nigerian World record holder. And to Ese Brume, our darling Long Jump Silver Medalist,” Tinubu said.
Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi said “Following Tobi Amusan’s record-breaking gold, Ese Brume grabs silver in the long jump event at the WAC in Oregon, USA. We’re a great country blessed with talents ready to rule the world. Appropriate leadership is the key. Congratulations, dear Ese.”
The PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar added: “All hail Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan, the record-breaking women’s 100m hurdles champion.
