Oseni in rage

Arise TV anchor, Rufai Oseni has apologised to Nigerians and friends for driving on BRT lane in Lagos and his display of bravado.

Oseni had on Monday driven on BRT lane and was arrested by the police. He had tweeted that the police pointed a gun at him for driving on BRT lane.

He tried to justify his action by saying he saw other motorists plying the BRT lane who were not arrested, which informed his reason for plying the dedicated lane.

Oseni had also engaged in a brawl with the policemen, as a viral video saw the enraged Arise TV anchor accosted the police, saying he would call the governor and called them ‘nonsense.’

Many Nigerians had come hard on him on Twitter for plying the BRT lane and displaying arrogance about his action.

But on Wednesday, during the station’s morning show, Oseni apologised to friends and Nigerians for wrong doing

According to him, “As many of you know, I have been in the news for a few days for the wrong reasons. This has resulted in needless distraction for my friends, family, members of the public and for all my colleagues here on Arise News Channel.

“I would, therefore, like to apologize to all parties over what transpired during the incident with the police when I was stopped for driving on a bus lane. I cannot and dare not lay claims to know it all.”
