Manchester City hit four goals past hapless Bournemouth on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium to move top of the premier league table after two games.

Ilkay Gundogan opened scoring for the homers on 18 minutes as he took a short pass from Erling Haaland in his stride in the box, jinxed inside his man and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the bottom right corner.

Kevin De Bruyne made it 2-0 on 31 minutes as he wove his way past opponents, and he unleashed a magnificent effort from the edge of the box into the bottom left corner.

Phil Foden scored City’s third goal as he collected a delightful pass inside the box and netted with a perfect low drive into the middle of the goal.

On 74th minutes, Erling Haaland picked up an inch-perfect pass inside the box and fired the ball a whisker wide of the right post.

The homers made it 4-0 from an own-goal as Jefferson Lerma put the ball into his own net.

Lerma attempted to head the ball away after a cross into the penalty area, but instead he accidentally sent it inside the left post of his own goal.
