Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, received a rousing welcome as he arrived at the Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference.
As of the time of filing this report, the conference is currently held at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
The 2022 conference is themed “Bold Transitions” and it is expected to hold between August 19 to 26, with the opening ceremony happening today.
Also at the event is the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
The vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Kashim Shettima, is also present at the event to represent the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu.
Governors Solomon Lalong and Godwin Obaseki of Plateau and Edo states respectively are also present.
The Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo is representing Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the state, while the Chief Judge of the state, Kazeem Alogba, is also present.
The Keynote Speaker at the event is the award-winning Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Adichie.
