Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has accused his brother, Mathias, and some of his childhood friends of trying to extort him for €13 million.

The 29-year-old made this known on Sunday in a statement signed by his lawyers, his mother, Yeo Moriba, and his agent, Rafaela Pimenta.

This comes after Mathias posted a video online promising “great revelations” about the World Cup winner and Pimenta.

In the video, Mathias said, “The whole world deserves to know certain things so the public can decide if [Paul Pogba] really deserves the admiration, the respect, his place in the France team if he is a trustworthy person and worth representing the world’s youth, working-class areas, and big brands”.

Responding Pogba described the videos as “unfortunately no surprise”.
