Video tribute to Serena Williams at U.S. Open

Queen Latifah narrated a seven-minute video tribute to Serena Williams before she met Montenegrin Danka Kovinic on Monday night in New York.

The match is billed to be the American’s final U.S. Open before retiring.

Serena will also play doubles with senior sister Venus Williams.

Research by Betsperts has revealed that the retiring 23-time Grand Slam winner has inspired a total of 10,620 baby names.

This made her the third most named after American athlete in a century.
