OPM offers scholarships, house to family of late Rivers police ex- spokesperson

Apostle Gift Chibuzor Chinyere, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry,OPM, has offered scholarships and a three- bedroom bungalow to the Children of the late SP Nnamdi Omoni, former Spokesman of the Rivers Police Command who died yesterday

Apostle Chinyere who announced this on his Facebook page on Wednesday said he will build the three-bedroom bungalow for the late Omoni in his village

The Cleric, who was popular for his philanthropic activities described the late Nnamdi Omoni as a fine, God fearing gentle gentle man.

“I have never met anyone that has ever complained about him, because he respects everyone, no matter your level or age.

“I Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, OPM, is giving all the children he left behind scholarship to university level. And he has no house in his village.

“I will be building a 3 bedroom bungalow in his village for him.It is always good to be good when you are alive.
“Mr Nnamdi omoni, your good deeds will continue to speak for even when you are not around”.

SP Omoni,who also a lawyer hails from Rundele in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

He died on Tuesday, August 30, in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital and the cause of his death is still unknown.

Until he death,he was the Divisional Police Officer, Elimgbu Police Division in Obio-Akpor local government area of Rivers State.

He had celebrated his birthday last Friday in Port Harcourt.

He was deployed to Elimgbu Police Division after he was promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police.

The news of his sudden death has been trending in social media platforms in Rivers.

The Rivers State Police Command has not issued a statement on the loss of its immediate past Spokesman as at the time of writing this story.
