The event will be held, under the Chairmanship of Araba Ifayemi Elebuibon, Araba of Osogbo, and Agba – Awo of Yorubaland, in grand style and in full preparation for the 2023 general election.
The topic of discussion at the event is “ASEYORI IDIBO TO NBO L’ONA NI ILE ODU’A, E GBE KIN NI YI WA, AWA L’OKAN”, “2023 YORUBALAND ELECTORAL VICTORY, IS OUR TURN, BRING IT FORWARD.”
The topic will be delivered by former Chairman, Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Ondo State, Ambassador Sola Iji, International Rights Activist and former 2 – time (2003 and 2007) Governorship Aspirant in Osun State, Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede (JMK), Osun State and the Kogi State born most popular former President, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), who was severally incarcerated by the successful Military Juntas during the June 12 Struggles, Comrade Segun Mayegun.
The former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, is the Chief Host, while the Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Oyo State, Hon. Isaac Omodewu will be the Host. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, Leader, Afenifere, will be the Special Guest of Honour and Guest of Honour respectively.
Father and Mother of the day are Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi, former Governor of Ogun State and former First Lady, Oyo State, respectively.
This year’s edition is for the celebration of hard work and success in Yorubaland.
It will hold on Friday, 23 September 2022, inside Banquet Hall of Oyo State APC Secretariat, Oke – Ado, Ibadan, by 11:00 am prompt.
The event will witness the endorsement of the three APC Southwest States’ Governorship Candidates, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu (Lagos), Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Senator Teslim Folarin (Oyo).
Also at the event, Tinubu will be given the award of Odu’a Ori Olokun Award confirming him as the African man of the Century (Akanda Eda Ile Alawodudu Ti A To Ogorun Odun Ki A To Ri Iru’e).
The event will also witness the bestowment of the beautifully carved Odu’a Ori Olokun Awards on (2) Otunba Gbenga Daniel (Agbomola Ti Odu’a), (3) Chief (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi (Iya Eto Ti Ile Odu’a), (4) Princess Bisi Sangodoyin, popular Ibadan based Gender Activist/Yoruba Self determination Activist from Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu led Yoruba Unity Forum (Iyaniwura Ti Ile Odu’a), (5) Chief Pop Olorogun Adebanjo (Eni Itan Ti Ile Odu’a), (6) Chief (Prince) Adesokan Felix Oni, Illustrious Son of Late Chief T. A. Oni of Oni and Sons Limited (Ore Ara Ilu Ti Ile Odu’a), (7) Ogbeni Sunny Ajose, former Head of Service, Lagos State; former Special, Governor’s Office, Lagos State; immediate past Chief of Staff to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and immediate past State Deputy Chairman, APC, Lagos (Awokose Odo Odu’a), (8) Prophet Gabriel Evans whose video, while cautioning all the succesful Lieutenants of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be respectful to their Oga’s aspiration, went viral last year and still trending (Akekaka Ki Oloro O Gbo Ti Ile Odu’a), (9) Prophet Joshua Iginla, who predicted Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as our next President in Nigeria against all odds since January (Ojise Oluwa Ti Koni Abawon) (10) Alhaji Abiuwa Ahmed, former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos on Energy, 1999 to 2019 plus our two leading Royal Fathers in Yorubaland, (11) Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife (Yoruba Symbol of Unity, Amin Isokan Odu’a) and (12) Oba (Dr) Mahood Olelakan Ishola Balogun Alli Okumade II, Olubadan of Ibadanland, (Yoruba Symbol of Unity, Amin Isokan Odu’a) in geniune appreciation of their most timely intervention alongside the noble Yoruba Youth Organisation towards achieving peace, unity, and progress among various Yoruba Political Gladiators ahead of the last APC Presidential Primaries which was held at Eagle Square, Abuja.
