A civic data-driven tech organization, BudgIT has awarded popular Nigerian human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) and skit maker Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, with the Civic Activism Award.
BudgIT announced the development on Monday.
“Congratulations to @femi_falana on winning the Hall of Fame Award for Civic Activism, recognising a veteran activist who has contributed immensely to national development via civic activism,” BudgIT Nigeria tweeted.
Similarly, expressing his gratitude for the honor, Mr. Macaroni tweeted, “I am honored to receive the Arts for Activism Award from @BudgITng.
“This is dedicated to everyone out there who continues to stand against oppression and injustice despite all odds. May our Labour never be in vain!”
