Gunmen abduct Kwara monarch, wife and driver

Terrorists posing as kidnappers have abducted the traditional ruler of Owa-Onire in the Kwara South Senatorial District, his wife, and their driver.

SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the Kwara Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the development on Saturday.

Two suspects are currently being held by police in connection with the case, according to the PPRO.

Even though the wife of the king had been saved, efforts were still being made to save the other two victims.

Also, the state police commissioner, Paul Odama, has sent teams of investigators and the vigilante to the scene.

A detailed report would be made public as soon as investigation into the matter was concluded.
