A Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta on Thursday struck out a case challenging the emergence of Olumide Aderinokun as the People Democratic Party, PDP’s flag bearer for Ogun Central Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections.

An aspirant, Dada Kolawole Oduntan had filed a case challenging the primary election that took place at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library on May 23 and prayed to the court to nullify the emergence of Aderinokun as the candidate of the party and declare him winner.

The court which was presided upon by Hon. Justice O.O Oguntoyinbo concluded that the case filed against Chief Aderinokun lacked jurisdiction because court processes were not followed and the case was not properly filed as a legal practitioner did not sign it.
