NNPP: Ajadi Seeks Chief Teluwo’s Endorsement For Son’s Senatorial Ambition

The mark of a good leader is also showing interest in the welfare and advancement of others, rather than just pursuit of his own interests.

That was exactly the undertone in the visit, yesterday, of the Ogun gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Comrade Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo to the home of leading entrepreneur, Chief Adewale Teluwo.

The latter’s son, Kehinde Teluwo is the NNPP candidate for Ogun Central Senatorial district in next year’s general election.

The coming of Ajadi and his team saw youths in the neighborhood and beyond, trooping out to see things for themselves.

While acknowledging those present, majorly youths, Ajadi said the visit was a courtesy and an appeal, one to return honor to a distinguished personality, Chief Adewale Teluwo, seeking his political direction, as well as a blessing for his son’s senatorial ambition.

“It is true that the time for the youths to take over the political leadership of our country has arrived but it is also important to seek the blessing of our fathers to be able to fare well in the contest.

“Kehinde Teluwo is my friend and his candidacy has been accepted by the party hierarchy, but seeking the backing of his family just as this visit is seeking to do, is very important, Ajadi said.

This he said was lacking in much of the politics of the Yoruba, calling for a change of attitude.

Chief Teluwo acknowledged nonetheless that politics was not an easy game He moved further to say that politics is not, neither was it easy attaining any office of one’s interests but that nothing was impossible in the sight of God.

He pledged support for his son, Kehinde Teluwo, advising for the exigency of visits to his home base in Ogun, to intimate the people and canvas their support for the NNPP.

He warned the youths to work hard and in one voice if truly they wanted to take over political leadership.

“I am grateful to members of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Ogun State and I wish all the candidates success in the 2023 general election,” he said.
