Obasanjo was seen in a viral video calling for Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate and held his hand, led him to his seat and gave it to him and said “my job is done’ and left the event immediately.

Though Obasanjo has not endorsed Obi publicly, his actions are tilting towards him just like what he did by leading him to his seat.

But Obasanjo’s support for his favoured candidate is not new, but his candidates had not always had their way.

In 2019, he moved against President Muhammadu Buhari, but he failed as Nigerians still voted for him.
