The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Archdiocese, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama on Saturday passed a message on discipline and humility to the youth of Nigeria.

Kaigama asked the Nigerian youth to be focused, disciplined and show humility at all times to attain greater heights.

He gave the advice during his homily at the 2022 Abuja Archdiocesan Youth Day organised by the Catholic Youth Commission.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event had Catholic Youths drawn from parishes of the five Area Councils of the FCT.

The theme of the event was “Mary Arouse and went with Haste, extracted from Luke, Chapter 1 Verse 39”.

According to him, good virtues such as obedience and humility enable one to be focused and ready to sacrifice for Christ.

He prayed to God to help the youth as they refuse to follow the wordily way but the godly way.

“In spite of the many challenges in the world and as the youths are most affected, they have not given up.

“I must commend and bless you as Christ will reward and never forsake you,” he said.

He enjoined them to also pray for the clergies as they might face temptations.
