Popular Instagram influencer Cristina Braga shot dead

Popular Instagram influencer, Núbia Cristina Braga, has been shot dead by two gunmen who invaded her home in Santa Maria in Aracaju, Sergipe State, Brazil, on Friday night.

The gunmen on motorbike later fled the scene. Her body was later found in the apartment.

A check on her Instagram page showed that she had almost 60,000 followers. Her last post was eight weeks ago and was captioned: “Nobody owes me Anything.”

It was gathered that her body was found in her apartment on 14 October, 2022.

According to authorities, Braga, 23 had just returned home from a hair salon — an appointment she detailed in her final Instagram story.

New York Post reports that shortly after she arrived, two men rode up on motorcycles and entered Braga’s property through the open front door and upon spotting the aspiring social media star, they opened fire, shooting her several times before fleeing the scene of the crime.

The Mirror added that police officers arrived at the home at around 9pm and found the victim lying dead on the floor in a pool of blood.

Local authorities have called on members of the public to come forwards with any information that will lead to the suspects’ arrest.

Braga provided content on beauty, fashion and travel on social media and owned her own clothing store.
