Ex-Rivers APC chieftain Chris Finebone among Wike's new commissioners

Mr. Chris Finebone, the immediate past spokesman for All Progressives Congress, APC, Rivers State is among the 18 Commissioner-nominees whose names have been submitted to the State House of Assembly for screening.

Finebone, was an ally of Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State was a virulent critic of Governor Wike’s style of administration before he decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He was later quoted as saying that” Governor Wike is always misunderstood. Coming close to him, you find out that he’s a man with a large heart”.

He was among the commissioner nominee announced in a memo Signed by Stanford Oba, the Clerk, Rivers State House Of Assembly.

He said, “The Rivers State House of Assembly is inviting the following nominees to appear before it on Tuesday 25th October 2022 by 9am for screening as commissioners designate. They are: Prof. Princewill Chike,Hon. Jacobson Nbina, Mr. Ndubuisi Okere, Barr. Mrs Inime Aguma,Engr. Charles Amadi, Mrs. Tonye Oniyinde Briggs, Mr. Ben Daminabo, Chris Finebone.

Others are: Engr. Austin Ben Chioma, Mr Uchechukwu Nwafor, Dr. Fred Barivule Kpakol, Barr. Emenike Oke, Mr. Prince Ohia, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku, Mr. Ezekiel Agri, Mrs. Ukiel Oyaghiri, Hon. Damiete Herbert Horsfall and Hon Emeka Onowu.

The memo further asked the nominees are to submit 35 sets of their credentials to the office of the clerk and come along with original copies including tax clearance certificate for the screening.
