Army kills 3 Boko Haram terrorists in Gubio, recovered weapons

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the North-East region, have killed three Boko Haram terrorists during gun-battle in Gubio Local Government area.

Gubio is located about 84 km to the restive capital of Maiduguri Borno state.

It was gathered that the troops, in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in a joint operation, intercepted some terrorists who usually terrorised commuters and robbed them of their valuables on Friday evening.

An Intelligence Sources told Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in the Lake Chad, that the troops were able to gun down three terrorists.

The sources said that two of the terrorists carried Ak-47 riffles while the third one was their rider.

“We recovered two Ak-47, two Magazines and motorcycle from the terrorists,” the source said.

North East has been ravaged by insurgents in over a decades with over 10,000 people killed and several people rendered homeless.

The Nigerian government in recent time has been saying that Boko Haram terrorists have been decimated in North East and that they now thrive in attacking soft targets.
