Ogun Commissioner for Police, Lanre Bankole has vowed to bring those responsible for setting ablaze the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Cp Lanre, who spoke to journalists after inspecting the burnt INEC office said police will ensure that there is no repeat of such incident in Ogun State by bringing the perpetrators to book.

“This is a wakeup call, therefore we will increase on security surveillance on INEC environs to ensure this does not repeat itself.

“Ogun state is not known for this kind of thing, on this note we will surely bring the perpetrators to book,” he said.

The Commissioner inspected the burnt facility alongside the state Resident Electoral Commissioner(REC) Niyi Ijalaye, the commandant of Nigerian Security Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC) Niyi Ajibola, the State commandant of Amotekun, Dave Akinremi and Director of DSS, Femi Aaron.
