Goncalo Ramos scored Portugal's third goal

The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday night succumbed to embarrassing 4-0 demolition to Portugal in an international friendly match ahead the world cup.

The match was to shape the Portuguese side for next week’s World Cup in Qatar. The Eagles are not going to the World Cup.

It was a total annihilation for the Nigerian side, as they fell to an early goal.

Diogo Dalot teed up Bruno Fernandes inside the box on 9th minute, and he kept his cool to find the left side of the goal.

Portugal made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after a Nigerian player handed the ball in the box on 35th minute.

Bruno Fernandes ran up to the ball, stopped and waited for Francis Uzoho to commit before slotting the penalty into the bottom right corner.

The Eagles missed an 81st minute penalty that would have made them come back into the game.
Emmanuel Dennis took the penalty kick. The shot went in the direction of the bottom left corner, but Rui Patricio reacted superbly and stopped it, deflecting the ball onto the post.
A minute later, Portugal added the third goal.
Goncalo Ramos took a short pass from Raphael Guerreiro in his stride in the box, jinxed inside his man and unleashed an unstoppable shot low into the middle of the goal.
Portugal completed the debacle of Nigeria on 84th minute for the fourth goal.
Goncalo Ramos teed up Joao Mario inside the box and he rolled the ball into the bottom right corner and past Francis Uzoho.
