Dubai-based, Independent music artiste, Fatimehin Abiodun a.k.a Bonzlight who continues to rise from strength to strength despite being a stand-alone singer, is set to break his musical duck as he gets set to release his first-ever Extension Play (EP) in coming months.

For those who have monitored his rise on the music scene, Bonzlight has proven to many music listeners that he’s in the music business for real.

Armed with the spontaneous ability to make a song out of any situation and relate it with what the people may be going through, the budding singer says he didn’t come into the music industry to play second fiddle to anyone.

And he is stamping his foot on the musical landscape with his debut EP titled “Smooth Operator”.According to him, the EP consists of four tracks, namely; Smooth Operator, African Girl, Stronger and I Pray.

Prior to the compilation of songs for the EP, Bonzlight made a strong expression of his intent as an artist to watch out for with the hit single “Update” featuring Eleniyan & Stunna.

Bonzlight began doing music at the age of 17 but made it a career in 2010. He is a pop and Afrobeat singer who created his own kind of genre to carve a niche for himself and distinguishes himself from the horde of singers populating the industry.

Recalling his journey so far dogged with hardwork and sheer passion, Bonzlight said he is not fazed by an avalanche of challenges along his path, reiterating that nothing can stop him from climbing to the zenith of the ladder in the musical food chain.

“I have been doing music myself. I have never been signed to any label. I have always been a hustler, I make my own money, and I have always been in the entertainment business. I am a complete businessman, show biz has always been for me. So I make money and use it to make one or two tracks. Life has always been hard, and I have always come up at the top. The struggle shaped me, and you can hear that struggle in my music. I am sure so many people face the same hardship and they can relate to it in my songs,” he narrated.

It is no wonder that his songs are replete with stories of his struggles and triumphs because he had always hustled to have his voice heard. His inspirations come from his experience, pains and success.

“The biggest elements that inspire me are, one, the struggle and pain; two, success and happiness; Three, prosperity and joy; four, money , wealth and riches; six , love of a woman and love from mother to son; lastly sounds that can make people dance. These are the music components I deliver when making different music. It has to be simple, rhythmic and no complexities .Music should be smooth and melodic,” he states

Bonzlight is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirate and he is from Ondo State.
