The Oyo State Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has described the destruction of campaign billboards and INEC offices across the country, as an act of wickedness.
Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju made the remark while reacting to the recent havoc caused by thugs in Ibadan.
He claimed that the action amounted to political employment failure in the nation’s political science community.
According to the Oyo CAN leader, Nigeria is large enough for every political party to make their political interests known to the citizens.
Such devastation, he said, reflected a lack of fear of God and respect for the nation’s oneness, peace, and unity.
Akinyemiju advised those involved in this heinous practice to stop immediately.
Meanwhile, he prayed for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 elections and the election of the best possible set of politicians for the country.
“We see a brilliant and prosperous Nigeria coming soonest. Christians should vote according to the leading of the Holy Spirit as the scripture has already guided us that only those who are led by the Spirit are the children of God,” he said.
