Kalidou Koulibaly celebrates his goal for Senegal

The Teranga Lions of Senegal on Tuesday qualified for the Round of 16 after beating Ecuador 2-1 in their last match of Group A.

Senegal qualified with six points and second in the group after Netherlands, who beat Qatar 2-0 to amass seven points.

Ismaila Sarr converted from the penalty spot on 44th minute to open scoring for the African side.

Jeremy Sarmiento attempted to score on 90th minute as he rose near the penalty spot and headed the ball to the middle of the goal. Edouard Mendy pulled off a comfortable save to stop the ball from hitting the net.
