Gov. Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State has granted approval for the release of N11 million to facilitate the conduct of recruitment of 1500 Kebbi indigenes into the Nigerian Army 84 Regular Recruits Intake.

Mallam Yahaya Sarki, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media disclosed this in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

Sarki quoted the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Babale Umar-Yauri as saying: “The approval is to facilitate smooth conduct of recruitment exercise of 1,500 candidates from the 21 local government areas of the state.

“They are expected to be screened into the Nigerian Army as regular recruits intake (Trade and Non Trades men/women).”

The recruitment consists of screening of credentials, physical features, medical test, oral and written examination, among others.

The exercise is expected to last 14 days, from Dec. 5 to 19 at the One Battalion, Dukku Barracks in Birnin Kebbi.
