Peace Onuoha unveils annual mentorship program
Nollywood actress and rising force, Peace Onuoha, is poised to make a lasting impact by launching an annual mentorship and internship initiative tailored for aspiring actors and actresses. This visionary endeavor seeks to provide essential guidance and support to budding talents aiming to carve a professional niche within the dynamic world of movies and entertainment.
In an engaging conversation with our correspondent, Onuoha shared her compelling rationale behind the program. She emphasized the need to equip emerging actors with the knowledge and tools required to flourish in their careers. Noting a dearth of understanding among young talents about the nuances of managing their careers and leveraging their image for financial gain, Onuoha expressed her commitment to filling this void.
“The essence of this program is to impart participants with the skills to excel in their chosen paths, enabling them to harness their brand and image to generate supplementary income. Additionally, it aims to educate them on prudent financial management, guiding them on investments and the management of day-to-day finances,” explained Onuoha.
She stressed the imperative of financial literacy, particularly within an industry that often elevates young actors to newfound wealth. Onuoha passionately conveyed the necessity for emerging talents to understand the importance of saving and investing, lest they find themselves in dire financial straits.
“On the heels of an initial success, it’s natural for people to splurge on lavish purchases. However, without proper financial management, money can evaporate faster than it was earned,” cautioned Onuoha.
Drawing from her own journey, Onuoha underscored the significance of human investment over material accumulation. She aims to share her experiences and insights to shape the budding careers of aspiring actors, steering them towards financial responsibility while they are at the zenith of their professional lives.
Born on October 9, 1992, in Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria, Peace Chinasa Onuoha stands as an actress, model, and entrepreneur based in Asaba, Delta State. She holds a Higher National Diploma in Banking and Finance from Imo State Polytechnic, Nigeria, and after completing her National Youth Service, she ventured into acting in 2018.
