A group seeking the re-election of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Youth Professional Support (BOSYOPS) Group has unveiled plans to deploy strategic skills, know-how, and resources towards harnessing the youth segment of the state.
Convener of the group and Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya said the priority of the group was to promote Sanwo-Olu’s achievements and galvanize young professionals via intellectual engagement to further deepen youth development.
According to Olusanya, “The Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Youth Professional Support (BOSYOPS) Group is a collection of vibrant, socio-politically oriented and technologically savvy youth who cut across all walks of life.
“The group comprises young professionals, technocrats, businesspeople, social activists, advocates, political analysts, social commentators, intellectuals, and other people of similar mind, who are committed to promoting BOS’ ideology and vision of making Lagos a 21st-century economy.
“Our strength includes economic numbers and power, tech-savvy with capabilities to wage technology and social media discussions, and capabilities to apply and adapt tactical approaches to engaging the youth segment of our dear state.”
Besides, Olusanya said the objective of the group is to project Governor Sanwo-Olu’s image through the grassroots with a view to building a moral followership, while also modeling Lagos by showing young achievers who are bold enough to identify with what the government is doing in Lagos and give their support and endorsement.
“Our objective is also to project intellectuals who believe in Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s ideology and to shape the ideology of millennials on electoral process and participation,” the Convener said.
She added that efforts are being firmed up to build a strong chapter of the group in every neighborhood and Local Government Area of the state.
