Rural Rays hosted its annual end-of-year celebration for children this December, creating a joyful and inspiring space for learning, play, and togetherness as the year came to an end.

The event, which supports the organization’s mission to “illuminate futures” in underserved communities, brought smiles to children who rarely get opportunities like this.

This year’s celebration received significant support from Prince Adetunji Abiodun Adeleke, a Software Engineering contractor, real estate developer, and strong advocate for education, technology, and youth development. After seeing a friend’s WhatsApp post about the upcoming programme, Prince Adeleke immediately reached out to contribute.

His support covered the full cost of organizing the event, including food, drinks, learning materials, and activity resources that allowed the children to enjoy not just a party, but a day blended with creativity, inspiration, and meaningful engagement.

According to the founder of Rural Rays:

“He saw the post on his friend’s WhatsApp status and decided to contact us. He paid for everything we needed to make the party worthwhile.”

The children enjoyed a heartwarming celebration filled with laughter, games, and shared experiences that reflected the true power of kindness and community support. Beyond the fun, the event created an environment where children could feel valued, seen, and encouraged; all key components of the Rural Rays philosophy.

Rural Rays remains committed to its mission of expanding access to quality education through initiatives like the Plant a School campaign, the creation of pop-up classrooms in rural areas, and continuous educational outreach. The organization believes that every child, regardless of location or circumstance, deserves access to learning, creativity, and hope.

As part of his personal mission to promote education, welfare, and digital opportunity in underserved communities, Prince Adeleke expressed his admiration for the work Rural Rays is doing and affirmed his willingness to support future initiatives that empower rural children.

Rural Rays welcomes individuals, partners, and organizations who share this passion for transforming young lives, strengthening communities, and creating pathways for children to dream, learn, and succeed.
