Author of the fascinating novel, Scars Do Heal, Mr Káyọ̀dé Akínrọ́pò, has showered praises on his beautiful wife Iyabode Akínrọ́pò for her invaluable support towards ensuring that the book gets to the reading public.

Akínrọ́pò, posted the message of appreciation on his Facebook Monday’s Novel Promo Page this week.

Everyone around Káyọ̀dé would testify that Iyabode, right from Nigeria before the family moved to the United Kingdom, has been to Kayode what Mama Dideolu Hannah was to her legendary husband Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Iyabode keeps no company, except that of her husband. She has always been so supportive of and so caring to her husband. Ditto for Kayode. They are role models as a couple.

“I thought deeply about what’s going in today on this page and decided to appreciate this wonderful woman!

“I call her different names: My wife. My in-house editor. My in-house copy editor. Our kitchen chef/manager. My in-house critic. My gist-partner. My Senior Special Adviser. My sales manager. My promoter. My travel colleague, etc. Some other people have recently added these: Kayode’s girlfriend, Kayode’s assistant writer etc etc to her appellations,” a grateful Kayode said about Iyabode.

He added, “she remains my BIGGEST CHEERLEADER & FAN! So, thank you so much Iyabode. My novel’s one year + journey has brought up your other hidden talents and your ability to bear with this ‘troublesome’ Bobo Kay.”

Kayode also thanks his friends and the fans of Scars Do Heal for supporting and encouraging him all this while.

But, like Oliver Twist who would always ask for more, Akinropo craves his fans’ support for the New Year 2023 also.

“Please be there again for me this new year 2023 and I won’t disappoint you.

“If you’ve not done so, add ‘reading’ to your 2023 new year’s resolution. Buy my novel as one of your ‘must-reads’. Read. Read. Read and Read!

“Also for this new year, have this quote from Carl Bard at the back of your mind: ‘Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a new ending’, “ he advised.
