Alhaji Abubakar Mogaji Olawoyin, the House Leader of the Kwara House of Assembly, is dead.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Mr Abdulquadr Yusuf, confirmed this on Monday in Ilorin.
According to him, the lawmaker died in the early hours of Monday after a brief illness.
Islamic burial rites will hold at 4 p.m. at Magajin Geri family house, Surulere, Ilorin.
Before his demise, Mogaji Olawoyin was a loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and represented Ilorin Central Constituency (Mogajin Geri).
He was the leading Lawmaker in the 9th Kwara State House of Assembly in terms of legislative mandates.
