The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Monday signed the Peace Accord to pledge his support for a peaceful election.

The nation holds its presidential election on 25 February, 2023.

Tinubu is seeking to become the next president of Nigeria after President Muhammadu Buhari on 29 May, 2023.

He has to defeat the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi and others to become president.

Today’s event was the signing of the 2nd National Peace Accord by Presidential Candidates and Party National Chairmen ahead of the 2023 General Elections, organized by the National Peace Committee, in Abuja.

APC’s national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Tinubu’s running mate, Kashim Shettima, were at the event, among others.

At the event, the PDP’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar was absent. He was represented by his running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, while the PDP’s chairman, Iyorchia Ayu was present.
