Elder statesman and former Commissioner for Fiscal Responsibility Commission in Ekiti, Chief John Filani, has said the candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC in 2023 presidential election, Bola Tinubu has the capability to turn the country around if elected.
says he has the belief that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Bola Tinubu, will take the country to the promised land.
Filani spoke to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State on Friday.
While expressing concern about the state of the nation, Filani noted that the country would require a capable president to continue its path of development in 2023.
He described Tinubu as a candidate that could turn around the fortune of the country if elected.
“I am calling on the people of Ekiti and Nigerians as a whole to think in a right direction and cast their votes for the APC candidate.
“I can vouch for him that he will perform differently if voted into power.
“I can assure you that Tinubu will popularise the image of APC.
“If he finally becomes the president, am convinced that few of the policies of the present administration will survive because he will surely make them work.
He, nonetheless, appealed to all Nigerians of voting age to go and get their voter cards to elect leaders of their choice.
Filani thanked Gov. Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti for declaring a day for all eligible voters to get their voter cards and ensure that they performed their civic rights during the general elections.
He also urged other state governors to emulate Oyebanji in that regard.
