Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai on Thursday described the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi as a Nollywood actor and can never win the presidency.

El-Rufai, in an interview on TVC’s Journalist Hangout, rubbished Obi’s chances in this month’s presidential election, insisting that the contest is between APC and PDP.

When asked if Obi had a chance, he retorted: “Peter Obi wins any election?  Peter Obi is pulling one percent in Sokoto, Katsina, five percent in Kano, that is where the votes are, all states are not equal.

“The fact that you are doing 70 percent in Anambra state does not mean the one doing 10 percent in Kano is not better than you. Kano is 4 million votes that actually happened.

“The number of votes in Anambra is just the size of one local government in Kano. Yes Peter Obi will do well in South East, South South, where else? He is not polling well in Southwest, either a drop in the ocean in Lagos, he is polling in the Christian enclave in the north, but how many are they?

“Peter Obi cannot win the election, he doesn’t have the number of states, he doesn’t have 25 percent, the last time we checked in more than 16 states, he cannot go anywhere.

“Peter Obi is a Nollywood actor and that is all he will be. This election is between the APC and the PDP because they have the spread in the footprint, but ethnicity and religious bigotry will not take you anywhere and that is what the Labour Party’s campaign is all about.”
