Angry customers on Friday vented their anger on banks located around the Benin City center, the Ring Road, following their inability to make withdrawals both from the banking halls and their Automated Teller Machines (ATM).

The aggrieved customers, mostly youths, also barricaded the entire Ring Road and its adjoining streets, thereby compelling motorists and pedestrians to use alternative routes.

They converted the major road into a football field, even as they chanted various songs of displeasure.

Frantic efforts made by security operatives to dissuade the aggrieved customers fell on deaf ears.
