Above is Tinubu's rally in Lagos and below is Obi's rally at TBS. Who the real City Boy?

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi was in Lagos on Saturday for his presidential rally and the noise was much on social media.

Twitter was on fire as Obi’s supporters felt that they have already won the coming presidential election. They called him the real ‘City Boy’ and not the APC’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Obi began his campaign at the Alaba International Market, dominated 90 percent by the Igbo. He was able to garner some crowd, who cheered him up.

He embarked on a road show from Alaba International Market through the Mile 2 Expressway all through to the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) where the rally terminated. He addressed his supporters at the TBS.

As usual, his supporters’ voices were louder on Twitter than anybody, splashing photos and well orchestrated videos to look as if the crowd was massive.

Some of them even boasted that Tinubu will not get 25 percent in Lagos during this election. They claim they are the majority.

But unknown to Obi and his supporters, a drone captured his rally at TBS while Obi was addressing his supporters. Everything turned out to be a sham. It was a disperse crowd, a quarter of the TBS was not filled, the Square simply swallowed up his supporters and made a mockery of the grand rally.

Let’s go back to November 2022 when Tinubu was still testing the stage with his first rally in Lagos at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, which was filled to capacity.

No noise was made, the photos and videos that emanated from Teslim Balogun Stadium spoke for themselves. Oh, they said it was rented crowd, but when Obi held his rally, it is organic crowd. Stupidity!

Obi simply played to the gallery today and really got media attention, but can he defeat the king in Lagos? It is laughable.
