The Lagos State Ministry of Education has clarified its order for the shutdown of Chrisland Secondary schools over the death of a 12-year-old student, Miss Whitney Adeniran.

The clarification was obviously issued in obvious response to controversies that some of schools owned by Chrisland are still operating despite the closure order by the state government.

However, in a statement on Tuesday, signed by the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Ganiu Lawal, the Lagos State Ministry of Education said its order only affected the Chrisland School in Ikeja where the late Adeniran was a student.

It stated that only Chrisland High School Ikeja will remains closed as directed and the school authority has complied.

The State therefore dismiised erroneous claim that the school defied the State Government order on its closure.
